A time line interface: This construct seems to have become very popular among multimedia developers. Users add media elements to a multi-line time line with this interface. Each kind of element has its own line, and many elements of that type can be added to the line. The position of the element signifies the start time, and the length of the elements signifies the running time for that media piece. By arranging media elements on these lines, like beads on an abacus, the relative position of the media elements in time is determined.

There is no limit to the number of controls that can be added to the time line system. Maybe you can find one.
There is a zoom feature in the time line system so more controls can be viewed at one. There is also a time zoom so long periods of time can be seen at once.
Like the other views developers have access to all the tools needed to make complete applicaitons from this view, and execution can be traced while the project is running.
